This grape varietal was developed in Richmond, VA by Dr. Norton, who was hired by Thomas Jefferson to create a European style grape. This full-bodied wine made with these Virginia Norton grapes is a dry and bold wine with full bright fruits, featuring pomegranate and wild strawberry. This wine is well balanced, with gentle tannins and pepper in the finish.
